There are a lot of ways to get "plugged in" at LCC. We want to get you connected to a ministry that will help you grow your relationship with God and with others. We believe the best way to do that is by serving others and stepping out of your comfort zone.
Here's how you do it: 1. Check out all of the ministries below 2. Find one or two that you are interested in 3. Hit the "next step" button and let us know how you want to serve by using the "comment box" 4. Then roll up your sleeves and start serving.
Missions and Benevolence Ministry
We support several missions at LCC (click the graphic to see who we support). This ministry helps us to decide where and how we can support the effort to globally fulfill the Great Commission when Jesus said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” At LCC we also believe that God has called us to serve others in a variety of ways. Our Benevolence Ministry is vital in helping us to get connected with people who need a helping hand.
We have an obligation to share our faith with others. This ministry focuses on ways we can do that as individuals and as a Church. We plan outreach events, sermon series, and special services to let our community know that Jesus is the hope of the world, and how they can begin a relationship with God through him.
At LCC we realize that we need to make disciples. We also realize that the process of discipleship does not end when someone becomes a Christian, but rather it just begins. To help people grow in their walk with God, we work hard to provide and care for the education needs of the church. This means that we plan particular classes, recruit leaders for our classrooms, and make sure that our teachers have what they need to teach powerfully and effectively.
Our goal at LCC is to make disciples. That certainly includes helping people get into a right relationship with God, but we also believe that our job is not done when that happens. At LCC we want to help people begin a lifelong relationship with the Bible, prayer, and service. Our Membership Development Ministry helps people get connected with a ministry that will allow them to grow, and use the talents God has blessed them with.
At LCC we want to use our resources in a way that honors God, and helps us to fulfill the vision and purpose he has called us to. This ministry helps us plan financially for where God is leading us as a congregation.
At LCC we believe that the building is not the Church, but we do our best to be good stewards over what God has blessed us with. We want to make sure that our facility is well kept, and that it helps us and others get connected to God and others on a deeper level. If you would like to help with maintenance, remodeling, and other projects that help us better achieve that goal, then get signed up with this ministry.
