Partnering with parents to provide our kids with Knowledge, Intimacy Discipleship, and Structure
KNOWLEDGE. We believe that the knowledge we pass on to our kids each week should be grounded in the Bible. That means the lessons we teach are biblical, and will always have a practical application, or "take home" for the kids. The Bible is one of the many tools God gave us to navigate through this life successfully. That means we work hard to make sure the kids understand how to use it now, and when they grow up.
INTIMACY. At LCC we provide intimacy that is intentional. We believe that kids should know that they have been created in the image of God, and that they are unique because God made them special. With that in mind, we believe that godly self-esteem and self-worth come from being in a right relationship with God. That is why we continually remind our kids how much God loves them, and that we do as well.
DISCIPLESHIP. When we think of discipline, we usually think of negative things. But the word literally means "to train." At LCC we train our kids in how to be more like Jesus in everything they do and say. So we help them by focusing on the "why" and the "how." We want them to know "why" we do what we do, and "how" they can do it as well. We train our kids at LCC to be the next generation that will truly impact the world for the Kingdom of God.
STRUCTURE. We believe that structure should be strategic. In other words, we provide meaningful opportunities for our kids to grow in their relationship with God, and get connected in ways that empower them for a lifetime of faith. We also believe that one way they can do that is through serving the needs of others. To that end, we provide structured opportunities for our kids to serve and get connected with others in ways that allow them to grow and expand their faith.
